In today’s increasingly diverse campuses, international students often face subtle but persistent barriers to cross-cultural communication. This project introduces a tangible, participatory device designed to initiate conversations, explore mutual cultures, and uncover shared interests—breaking cultural walls and fostering meaningful connections.
Grounded in research on the “silent moments” in multicultural interactions, our design strategy doesn’t aim to eliminate differences—but rather to transform them into playful, discoverable content.  Through RFID-triggered interactions, ambient light and sound feedback, AIGC-generated cultural prompts, and AR-based storytelling, we offer a multisensory and gamified experience that helps students engage across cultures with curiosity and joy.
